Who are we?
Ross Macmillan is the founding owner and principal
of Farm To Farm Tours. He graduated with a B.Agr.Sc. Degree from
Lincoln in 1970. He worked as a farm consultant for the New Zealand
Government agency for 10 years, and in private practise as a
 Registered Farm Management Consultant,
for nearly 20 years. Most of the time Ross has been based in
Canterbury, New Zealand, but also has worked abroad, in Scotland
and on the Chatham Islands.
Ross has experience in a wide range of agricultural enterprises,
including sheep, dairy, beef, deer, arable crops, irrigation,
forestry, fruit, wine grapes, tree crops, vegetable production
and floriculture.
Having travelled extensively internationally, Ross is also
familiar with and can relate to farming systems elsewhere, which
helps in designing suitable and appropriate tour itineraries
for the different groups.
Since1977, Ross has lived with his wife Linda, on a
small farm near Rangiora, on which they produce wine grapes,
lucerne hay, cereals, wool and lambs. Linda is a registered Nurse,
but also works part time for Farm To Farm and often assists Ross,
leading tour groups  overseas and with
large Incentive group fundctions.
Desray Geursen is office manager of Farm To Farm Tours.
She looks after the administration and day to day activities
associated with tour organisation. Desray lives with her husband
on a small farm near Rangiora so is in touch with the country
lifestyle. She has also travelled extensively abroad inlcuding
guiding several group tours to the UK, South America and Europe.
Kirstie Macmillan obtained law and commerce degrees
from Otago University, After several years practising law in
Canterbury and travelling overseas, Kirstie has now joined the
family business. Kirstie is involved in itinerary development,
bookings, tour operation and general organisation, as well as
leading the odd tour group within New Zealand and overseas.
Other casual staff, including specialist and foreign language
guides, are employed as required.

Farm To Farm is based at Rangiora in the centre of a diverse
farming district on the outskirts of Christchurch, Canterbury,

We are members of (ATOI), Agricultural Tour Operators International,(NZTIA),
the New Zealand Tourism Industry Association,the Canterbury Tourism
Council(NZTIA), the New Zealand Kiwihost programme and an allied

The Company works closely with Air New Zealand, the New Zealand
Tourism Board, and other reputable tour wholesalers, organisations
and institutions within New Zealand and around the world

talk to people going about their day to day businesses and the
the New Zealand way of life.
We also recognise that New Zealand country people are great
travellers and in conjunction with other international tour operators,
Farm To Farm arranges travel opportunities abroad.
Farm To Farm arranges tours for groups or independent
travellers throughout New Zealand, blending country based farm,
garden and winery visits with city and town experiences. Also
included are visits to research centres, universities, and related
agricultural industries, along with scenic attractions and entries.
Accommodation is in hotels and motor lodges, with farmstays
or homestays included where required.
